It depends on what platform does your website used to make. It may be on wordpress blogger or webserver. Then you have to find bugs of the platform and exploit them. Then only you can hack website.
Depends on how they did it. Hiring for me is ATTITUDE more than anything. If I hack an Android device over internet (using Kali Linux) and the victim doesn't file any complaint, shall I be punished for hacking?
